My Design Philosophy I prefer to think of myself as a graphic artist instead of a graphic designer. I have been creating art since I was old enough to hold a crayon, so I bring a lifetime of artistic experience to each design job and not simply the know-how of using the software. My aesthetic comes from a love of pop culture; I process design all around me, from corporate logos of the brands I use to titles used in television shows and commercials. My style involves balancing of objects, negative space, and a clear and powerful message. A good graphic artist is first and foremost a good communicator. My illustration, while often photo-real, also has a sense of whimsy, and occasionally involves the surreal. As a graphic artist, I have the ability to take disparate elements and combine them into something that is cohesive, relevant, and fresh.
